12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Sir Alwyn Williams Building

The 17th SCONE meeting will be held at the University of Glasgow on Thursday 12 January 2017

SCONE is the Scottish Networking Event, an informal gathering of networking and systems researchers in and around Scotland.
The goal of the meeting is to encourage discussion and interaction between those working on systems-related things in Scotland. PhD students and RAs are encouraged to offer short (20 minute) talks on their work, and there will be time for announcements of interest to the community (job adverts, CFPs, data sets, tools, etc.).
The goal is to be informal, to give chance of students to practice talks in a friendly atmosphere, and to give everyone chance to meet and chat to others working in similar areas.

The schedule for the day is:
12:00 – 13:00 Lunch
13.00 – 14:30 Talks and announcements (Richard Cziva and Yuchen Zhao)
14:30 – 15:00 Coffee
15:00 – 16:00 Interactive session
16:00 – 16:20 Break
16:20 – 17:00 Talks (Stephen McQuistin)
17:00 Close (likely followed by drinks and dinner)

Attendance is free, but registration is required (so we can order enough lunch and coffee…). Please email Colin Perkins to register, or to offer a talk.  For more information please see the SCONE web-site
