The SICSA AI Research Theme is delighted to support The CFP SICSA Workshop on Fairness eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (FiXAI) on 7th August at Robert Gordon University.
The SICSA FiXAI Workshop Organisation Committee would like to invite submissions of novel theoretical and applied research targeting the explainability, generalisability and fairness of AI and ML systems. https://sites.google.com/view/fixai-workshop/home?authuser=0
Example submission areas include (but are not limited to):
- Explanations of autonomous systems, including XAI, understanding user needs for explanation in general or specialist domains, and robust evaluations of explanations provided by AI systems.
- Generalisability of AI and ML algorithms, including fine-tuning of large language/vision models to new problems and novel evaluations of model re-use including ML strategies (e.g. transfer, few-shot and meta).
- Fairness in AI including themes related to ethical AI, bias detection, mitigation, metrics and implications for XAI systems.
Paper Submission Instructions
Paper submissions should be formatted according to CEUR instructions (see an Overleaf template here: https://www.overleaf.com/read/vdtqhqpdrchs). You have the following submission options:
- Short paper: 5-8 pages to describe preliminary work, present an overview of existing work or to be accompanied by a demonstration.
- Position paper: 2-4 pages to present an idea, discuss challenges or identify the landscape in this area of research.
Workshop submissions will be subject to review by at least two reviewers who will be members of the Programme Committee. Researchers who submit demo systems will be required to provide access to the software in advance to facilitate evaluation.
