Event for Students – Have your say about graduate job specs

Date/Time
Date(s) - 02/03/2022
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

A meeting between Cyber Security employers and potential employees to discuss job adverts and how they could be improved.

About this event

ScotlandIS in association with SICSA are giving students from any discipline the opportunity to sit down with Cyber Security employers to understand what employers want and why perfectly good graduates are failing to apply.

The event aims to cover two topics. First, not all cyber security jobs require a cyber security qualification, or even computer science. We want to understand what puts applicants off applying for roles like governance and risk management and how to make job adverts for them more attractive.

Secondly we are looking to hear from students who have recently qualified or are about to qualify from a HNC/HND in cyber security, we are keen to understand what puts you off applying to graduate roles?

The event will take place virtually and start with everyone together to get a feel for the generic reasons that students and graduates are put off from applying to graduate roles; we will then split into breakout rooms where the two topics will be discussed in greater detail.

This event will be held virtually via Zoom and a joining link will be sent before the event.

Register via Eventbrite.
