Ada Scotland Festival Launch

Date/Time
Date(s) - 13/10/2020
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Ada Scotland Festival brings together partners involved in addressing the issue of gender balance in Computing Science education in Scotland.

The Festival has two broad aims:

  • To provide a ‘one stop shop’ for addressing gender balance
  • To establish a network of partners

At this launch event, the organisers will talk about what they hope to achieve with the Festival and we’ll hear from dressCode founder Toni Scullion on why addressing the gender gap in Computing Science is so important. Finally, we’ll have a Q&A with a pair of Barclays’ Software Engineering Graduate Apprentices.

We will also kick off a number of exciting competitions, featuring some great prizes courtesy of our brilliant supporters.

The event is open to pupils, teachers, parents, and anyone else with an interest in addressing gender imbalance in Computing Science education, and the tech sector more widely.

In the days following the launch on 13 October 2020, our partners will be hosting a series of online events – please see our website for more details! Please note that you may have to register for these events separately.

You can register to attend this event here. Zoom webinar details will be sent to all registered attendees on the day of the launch!
