Postdoctoral and Early Career Researcher Exchanges (PECE)

PECE bursaries provide research training and development opportunities for the most able postdocs and early career researchers across SICSA. Change your surroundings and experience life as a researcher in another institution; develop your network, enjoy another environment and lay the foundations for future international collaborations.

Key Facts

  • Up to £7,500 available
  • Exchanges are permitted in Europe (inc UK), North America, China and India
  • Visits are for a minimum of one month (time can be split over a number of visits)
  • Can be used to build on existing, or establish new collaborations

Funding Call Deadlines

  • 28 February
  • 30 April
  • 30 June
  • 31 October

What can the funding be used for?

  • Economy travel
  • Accommodation & Subsistence
  • Additional childcare costs resulting from the exchange
  • Funding cannot be used to attend conferences/seminars or similar training events, not be applied to the travel costs of such events
  • Funding cannot claimed against research costs

Please note that we cannot make advance payments prior to completion of the exchange
