SICSA academic posts
A central objective of SICSA is to create a world-class grouping of excellent researchers in computer science and informatics whose size and quality is comparable with international research institutions such as Stanford and Carnegie-Mellon universities. We have been awarded more than £18 million in funding from the Scottish Funding Council and universities to appoint senior and junior academics in informatics and computer science over the next 5 years.
The SICSA partners will appoint 5 Chairs (full professor), 10 Readers (associate professor), 15 Lecturers (assistant professor) and 7 Advanced Research Fellows between 2009 and 2012. Excellence is the key criterion for appointment rather than topic area but we are particularly interested in making appointments to support our research in the SICSA theme areas.
Current opportunities include:
- lecturerships in computer science, and a chair in human-computer interaction, at the University of St Andrews. To apply visit Lecturerships or Chair. Closing date: 26 February 2010.
- chair and readership in computer security or algorithms, at the University of Edinburgh. To apply visit Vacancies. Closing date: 26 February 2010.
