The SICSA Graduate Academy
An international graduate school in informatics and computer science
The SICSA Graduate Academy (SGA) is an international graduate school in informatics and computer science. Our goal is to deliver a post-graduate experience comparable to that offered by top schools such as Carnegie-Mellon, Stanford, MIT and UC Berkeley. We aim to foster researchers who have world-leading potential, and practitioners ready to take future research results into practice.
All computer science/informatics PhD students who are registered with a Scottish university are members of the Graduate Academy and can participate in SICSA activities without charge.
We offer world-class post-graduate training in advanced topics in computer science, transferable skills and entrepreneurship and organise a coordinated programme of research-related activities:
- tutorials and seminars from SICSA staff and distinguished visitors
- research workshops
- summer schools
- distinguished visiting fellowships.
Prize PhD prize studentships are offered competitively, providing opportunities to attract and retain the best national and international research students.
