SICSA Women in Computing Research 2016

SICSA Women in Computing Research (WICR-2016) is the 4th event in the series to be supported by the SICSA modelling and abstraction theme. This is a research and networking event, with focus on engaging with funders and developing research leadership skills. WICR-2016 provides a valuable forum for women to share ideas and benefit from topics that are particularly relevant and tailored to their interests. This year WICR’s focus will be on securing research funding and writing grant proposals. The event will be  hosted by Computing at the University of Dundee in its Queen Mother Building, on the 19th February 2016.

The event will start with a welcome speech from Vice Principal for Research Professor Tim Newman and Head of Computing at Dundee Professor Manuel Trucco followed by a networking lunch. After lunch, the event will proceed with an invited talk by Professor Vicki Hanson, Vice President of ACM and a grant writing workshop.

The full details of the event along with registration link can be found on the WICR-2016 web-site.

Free registration deadline is 10 February 2016.
