Prof. Darrell Whitley is visiting Scotland as a SICSA Distinguished Visitor. He has been active in Evolutionary Computation since 1986, and has published more than 200 papers. These papers have garnered more than 16,000 citations. Dr. Whitley’s H- index is 51. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Evolutionary Computation, and recently served as Chair of the Governing Board of ACM Sigevo from 2007 to 2011. He currently serves as an Associate Editor of Artificial Intelligence.
Professor Whitley will be presenting a talk on Blind No More: Constant Time Non-Random Improving Moves and Exponentially Powerful Recombination at the Computing Science Seminar.
