I will give an overview of the Penn Discourse TreeBank (PDTB) project and then describe some specific problems, in particular the problem of attribution. In PDTB we annotate discourse connectives, both explicit and implicit, and the so-called Attributions. I will also give a brief description of the so-called Alternate Lexicalizations.

This work is in collaboration with Bonnie Webber(U. Edinburgh) and
Rashmi Prasad(U. Wisconsin).
