SICSA Education is pleased to be sponsoring the forthcoming workshop, Peer Assessment in Group Work which is taking place on Monday 14 August 2017 at the University of Dundee

With improved teaching efficiencies in institutions across Scotland, and reflecting industrial practice, an increasing number of student assignments are being completed within groups. While this allows students to build on their team working skills and gain valuable experience of working in a team environment, it provides challenges for educators in assessing group members on an individual level. This gives rise to issues of transparency, fairness and confidentiality for both students and educators.
The purpose of this workshop is to understand current practices across Scotland for assessing group work. In particular, we are interested in the methods used to ensure that marks are allocated fairly within a group in order to reflect the contributions and abilities of the team members. This meeting will allow delegates to share and contribute to a discussion leading to a body of shared best practice.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

10:00-10:30 Registration
10:30-10:45 Presentation from Organisers
10:45-11:00 Tea Break
11:00-12:00 Discussion – Sharing current practice
