This CEO Master Class will explore theoretical and practical aspects of negotiation. The intention is to equip attendees to enter into negotiations with confidence, asserting their goals effectively and politely while remaining open to the interests of others and the opportunities to expand the deal for mutual benefit. The session will consist of role-plays designed to teach the following skills: active listening, offer and counteroffer, positional and interest-based bargaining and breaking an impasse. The session will also address the issue of running an effective meeting.
In addition to the practical skills attendees will be encouraged to reflect on how their own personality and attitude can impact on the success of a discussion – the awkward person in the room is not always the other party!
