Girl Geek Scotland is hosting a series of workshops to complement our Speaker Series 2010 on ‘Creativity, Computing and Entrepreneurialism’. The workshops, which are aimed at women who are thinking about starting, or have recently started, a Scottish business, will work around themes that will target what we believe are existing weaknesses in female business culture, namely: Negotiation, Funding Strategies, and Creativity in Business.

Delegates will hear from a range of industry and public sector experts on the key issues around cloud computing. Why is it relevant to the public sector? Can it save organisations money? What about the security of an organisation’s information and that of its service users? How best to choose a provider? Are there examples of best practice? What can Scotland gain from cloud adoption and hosting?
